Navisworks Back in Action.....

So it's been a little while since I have updated my Blog. It's come to my attention that this may-be the only blog dedicated to Navisworks. With that in mind I'm asking for a little interactivity from you, the reader:

1. Give my some ideas about what you'd like to see on this blog.
2. Share issues that you have been having.
3. Share creative uses that you have found for NavisWorks.

This isn't a blog about me and what "I Know". It's hopefully a forum on the expanded use of this tool in our BIM process.

I'll be back in the next week with a new article.

There are good video tutorials on Autodesk subscription, but you have to be on subscription to use them...other than that, there is not much out there. You can get some decent information from previous Autodesk Universitys, which is all free to download now. I learned straight from the help file....

Hi, I have question on clash detection that is it allow any reference name for item (say identity mark/comment in item properties of revit) to be displayed in clash report?
When lots of clash exist in a project, I'd rather refer to an item list which the item name is in systematic format than the clash picture.

There are several options available to you when exporting clashes.

One way to do what you have asked is to choose item ID in the report contents and unselect other options, that way the item ID stays the same as long as you have not replace the object inside of Revit.
